Settings and Shortcuts

Preferences control application-wide behavior. Shortcuts speed up project, playback, editing, and generation workflows.

Preferences

Open Preferences from Settings > Preferences or press Ctrl+,.

Audio

• Sample rate sets the audio engine sample rate.
• Buffer size controls latency and stability. Smaller buffers reduce latency but can cause glitches on slower machines.

Playback and preview

• Follow playback bar keeps the Song Overview scrolled to the current playback position.
• Generation history limit controls how many generation runs are retained.

Generation

• Inference device chooses CPU or GPU for the AI model. GPU is faster when available.

Recovery

Auto-save and crash recovery write backups so work is not lost if the app closes unexpectedly.

Utilities

• Clear recent projects removes recent files from the File menu.
• Reset window layout restores default panel placement.

Theme and appearance

Open the Theme Editor from Settings > Theme Editor.

Theme presets change colors and fonts without changing project content. Presets include options such as Midnight, Cyber, Nasa, Retro Light, and Retro Dark.

You can edit individual colors for backgrounds, surfaces, text, dim text, accents, button states, and borders. Strong text/background contrast gives the most readable result.

Saved custom themes remain available on the same machine.

Soundfont management

Use Settings > Manage Soundfonts to view imported soundfonts, inspect details, and remove soundfonts you no longer need.

Built-in soundfonts are shown for reference but cannot be removed.
